Hello, I’m Geeta Ladi, a children’s book illustrator.

My work is shaped by strong characters and the diverse stories centered on social-emotional growth. I’ve illustrated books including 'My Brain Is Magic', 'A Place for Feelings', 'Curry Means More', 'Gus Hearts the Bus', and 'A Sweet Diwali', each one a chance to listen to a new voice and bring its world to life with heart and honesty. My next illustrated book ‘Current Gone’ with Abrams Books will be published in 2026 and currently I’m working on art of ‘Melodies Of The Sitar’ with Sleeping Bear Press.

In my early career, I worked as a founding member of Navnirmiti, an educational organization in Mumbai devoted to learning through curiosity and play. As a design coordinator, I spent more than a decade developing educational toys and working directly with children. Those years taught me to listen deeply, to their stories, their questions, their quiet sense of wonder, and to see the world with fresh eyes. These experiences continue to guide my art. I’m drawn to the gentle moments of childhood: the warmth of friendship, the courage of discovery, and the small sparks of curiosity that light up ordinary days. 

I’m represented by Astound US. When I’m not at my desk, I love taking slow road journeys and spending time in nature, where the world feels calm and inspiring.
